Valentine’s Day is waiting for us all to fill the Day with Love! How does one do that? Let’s start with studying the written words of a beloved man, named John!
“Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.”
Recently I finished a book given to me by Sara to read called “Angels in the ER”. It is a book of true stories from the ER by physician Dr. Robert Leslie, from his perspective when he was an emergency room doctor. One story that I would like to share is from the chapter, “The Still, Small Voice.”

I am reading a book Sara loaned me that Needles gave her by John Ortberg, titled “When the Game is Over it All Goes Back in the Box”. The following excerpt is from a chapter called “Untie your ropes” which is about discarding whatever holds us down from running and finishing the race God has for each of us. He says sometimes we would ‘rather complain about our ropes than untie them’. It had been a bit of an unusual day for Antony. The life of a Roman soldier rarely takes a docile turn but today was especially hectic. Aside from the usual incarcerations, breaking up of riots and other public disturbances, there had been these three crucifixions.
