The Masters Key
Though the clouds may be gray outside my window; I feel so sunny inside; I have been doing a whole lot of thinking; It has made me realize; life is what we make it; We’re happy if we want to be; The doors that we open can all be good ones; we ALL have the Masters Key; So, look through the clouds, the sun is still there; Jump over the rocks that you see; Keep a smile on your face and love in your heart; Hold tight to the Masters Key. CARE FREE COLOR FOR SUNNY SUMMER GARDENS
Almost everyone wants a beautiful, care-free garden. As you think about and select plants to buy for that garden you may be hoping for the same thing. As a horticultural consultant, I am frequently told, βI want a low maintenance garden with plants that are easy to grow and easy to maintain.β While there is really no such thing as a maintenance free garden there are some colorful plants you can use that will help your summer be more care-freeβ¦that is less time working in the garden and more time enjoying it!
One of my favorite care-free perennial shrubs for blooms from April to November in many areas is the Knock-out Rose. It grows about four feet high and wide and when planted in a sunny location, it will smile with color without the use of pesticides or cutting the stems. It appreciates a light haircut yearly, a feeding of slow-release fertilizer and a drink of water when dry, but other than that it will leave you alone. I think the red and pink varieties are the best.
Infancy
The Edge of Morning
Shadows sleep in silence; Trees bow their heads; Breezes slide through darkness; Stars whisper in cloudy beds; Waters ripple quietly; Vast Oceans to tiny streams; Mountains stand attention; Clouds move slowly, making dreams; Tiny blades of grass are born; Caressed by beads of dew; Awaiting morning sunlight; Enhanced by skies of blue; Rosebuds in infancy smile
