Adiza is an intelligent 38-year-old woman. She has three children ranging from 5 months to 18 years old. Adizaβs husband is an electrician. For the past 10 years, Adiza has sold ‘minerals’ (soft drinks), pastries, and toffees. Adiza will use the loan to buy more minerals (soft drinks) and pastries. Adiza hopes to eventually buy a large refrigerator so she can make more pastries and sell them wholesale. Her future goal is also to provide her children with quality education.

Last weekend I attended the 125th Reunion of Maurertown Brethern Church which is my childhood church. So many memories of Sunday School, Christmas performances, memorization of Bible scripture, gathering flowers for the altar, baptisms and revival services. So many have gone to heaven who made the church grow and were pillars (rocks). Dr. Fred Finks of Ashland Theological Seminary spoke about those memories and tied it into the remembrances of the people of the second crossing of the Jordan into the promise land mentioned in Joshua 4: 19-24 NIV
