Walk In Love

The Second Epistle of John is one of my favorite readings. Walk in truth in vs. 4, gives us the understand that to know truth requires our doing it. Love is a key in vs. 5,6 and to love pleases God. I admit to you that both walk in truth and love one another makes me think of a portion of one of Winston Churchill’s quotes: “It is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma…” The mystery of Jesus Christ and His laying in a manger, wrapped in swaddling clothes, and His hanging on a cross for our sins and the thoughts of His Second Coming brings me to ponder it as a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma. I think it is just waiting to be solved by the action of Love from each of us.

Find the King

Once upon a time there were three worker bees named, Peter, Noah, and Jacob. They were looking for honey until Peter was hit with an idea. We shall find our beloved queen a king, who will adore her and praise her. He will be beautiful!
All the bees stood in excitement till Noah said, Where will we find such a king.
The three bees were on there search until they reached a king who was very handsome.
To see if the king is thoughtful we will see if he will feed us as if we were poor, said Jacob.
As the three bees went up to the handsome king they were order to stop by him with an, Ewwwwwww! Look at those foolish clothes! GET OUT, SCRAM, AND BEAT IT! The bees knew only a thoughtful king would be good enough for their queen.

The Angel on the Christmas Tree

Hello! My name is Lola Marshall, and I am four years old. Although
I’m four years old, I have a dream. My dream is to see what it is
like to be that beautiful angel which is way, way up high on that
beautiful, lighted Christmas tree. I only want to be one just for a
day. My Mom let me hold that angel in my tiny hands before it went up
there. She has blue eyes, rosy red cheeks, blonde hair, a satin gown
trimmed in gold braid. The gown never gets wrinkled, and she is always
glowing, showing forth her light.

Why the Nativity?

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonder. Isaiah 9:6


Once again, December is here and millions of people around the world will celebrate Christmas. What does this mean to you? What is a live Nativity in your home? What is your favorite Christmas story? Why? Do you put a tree in your home with decorations, if so, why? Do you place a Nativity scene for all to see in your yard, if so, what story will it tell?

Our Thanksgiving

Last night I gave my two sons a piece of paper and pen/pencil. I asked them
to write three things they were thankful for. One wrote:1)food 2)family 3)
electricity, the other wrote 1)mom 2)dad and 3) brother. Now I had to write
my three things as well:1)my family 2) my health 3) a place to live. I began
to think on this and yes, I am thankful for all of these things, but we have
many blessings to be thankful for. This song is truly a great
blessing:

like me. I once was lost, but
now I’m found, was blind, but
now I see.”

God so freely offers this grace to everyone who will receive. May we all be

Thanksgiving Prayer

“O God, when I have food,
help me to remember the hungry;
When I have work,
help me to remember the jobless;
When I have a home,
help me to remember those who have no home at all;

help me to remember those who suffer,
And remembering,
help me to destroy my complacency;
bestir my compassion,

those who cry out for what we take for granted.”

I join Samuel F. Pugh in his prayers for Thanksgiving. I pray and remember especially the children and women of Darfur that are without their homes, food and care even at this very moment. Horse Back Riding with Jesus

My name is Noah and I’m eight years old. Last night my family and I were eating pizza and I started thinking about Jesus. I told my family that after the rapture, we still need to pray for the people that are going to be left behind. Those people that are left behind are going to have a hard time for seven years because that mean antichrist is going to trick them. If they listen to that mean antichrist they won’t go to heaven. That mean antichrist will even kill people that love Jesus. I told my family after seven years Jesus is going to come back riding a really cool horse and he’s going to have lots of crowns on his head. My Father’s Rich You Know

Being that it is Thanksgiving I especially give thanks to a heavenly
Father who always has time to listen and who has surrounded me with so
many wonderful friends on the Daily Lily. I give thanks for parents
who were always there for us.

My Father’s rich you know and I’ll tell you why? He spends hours
playing softball with me. He shows me how to hold a bat. He yells,
Run Fast. See my Father takes time with me, because my
Father’s rich you know.
My Father spends hours during the summer at the river with me. He
throws me in and listens to me giggle with glee. He yells, Swim
and then yells, Let’s do it again.
My Father also shows me how to fish. He then has me put my own bait on
