Hope and Future

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11 NIV

Ivan Parker’s Thoughts: “don’t ever let the devil tell you there is no future. So many hold to the opinion there’s no hope for me. You may be alone and lonely or discouraged from your circumstances but never adjust your spirit of faithfulness to nonsense. God is true and on course in your life so be careful not to loose focus of his good for you!”

My Thoughts: God does not want to harm us even when we feel we are been harmed by pain, discouragement or friends. Lock faith in your heart and mind and our good comes into play!

Lily Prayer Points

Back to school is here. Some schools have started, others readied themselves for a new school year. School includes many in our communities. Students, teachers, staff and support staff. It takes more than a train to run a school.
I love to hear about and be a part of the prayer groups that faithfully work around the school year to support our schools. The daily lily has a prayer box, Lily Prayer Points, that we place prayers in for weekly prayers. I would like to expand and be a part of prayer groups and help others connect to be a part of a their local prayer groups.
If you have a group or are a part of a group and would like to share here and invite others to be a part of your group we would like to be a point of connection to help groups grow and thrive. Tell us about your group and how others can be a part.
Prayers and Hope for the new school year.  Let’s watch and be a part of our Lily Prayer Points as the Lily opens each morning with Lily Prayer. Visit http://www.thedailylily.com often. Offer a prayer, a thought, and give hope to All! Share about a job opening, an opportunity for others, or other news that might spar another into action.
Share your prayer group and contact info with one and another and another!

Notes of Love!

ImageSara’s Morning fragrant Notes:

As I enjoyed my morning stroll down this page,  Lily Lane,  I saw Hope and Joy bursting forth like a summer bulb showing its beauty. As I arranged my thoughts together like a floral bouquet I thought how to adorn my arrangement? A Balloon, of course! One of my favorite things. Yes, a red balloon for LOVE!

A balloon, colorful and expandable. You can blow your very breath upon it with pride, watch it wave in the wind, bounce for joy and greet all that see it. Without proper care it can blow away in the wind. O, and so sad, it can inflate and never return when not given genuine love in return.
Let’s talk about Love! Do you see it, feel it, experience it? Does it hide? What language does it speak? Where do I find it? Have you seen it? Oh, does it glow with iridescent colors changing your eye color?
Yes, O yes, let’s talk about love that connects to Joy and Hope on Lily Lane!

Dry Bones, Live!

Dry Bones, Live!

By Rena Oynes: Louisiana
In my early morning walks along the Lakefront in Mandeville, Louisiana there are many stately sprawling “LIVE” oaks. They have been through many a hurricane and still stand. They are hardwood trees that symbolize strength, stability, and steadfastness. In my Bible study of Beth Moore’s book “Breaking Free”, the theme passage is Isaiah 61: 1-4 AMP which reads as follows:

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed and qualified me to preach the Gospel of good tidings to the meek, the poor and the afflicted: He has sent me to bind up and heal the brokenhearted, and proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison and the eyes to those who are bound; 2. To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord – the year for His favor – and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; 3. To grant to those who mourn in Zion, to give them an ornament – a garland or diadem of joy for mourning, the garment of praise instead of a heavy, burned and failing spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness (lofty, strong and magnificent, distinguished for uprightness, justice, and right standing with God, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified. 4. And they shall rebuild the ancient ruins, they shall raise up the former desolations and renew the ruined cities, the deviations of many generations.”

Are we “LIVE” Oaks in the house of the Lord or are we oppressed, non-functioning dead wood in the house of the Lord. In the Isaiah scripture above we read the Spirit of the Lord is UPON me. Having been to David Hall’s saturation meetings, he said in Ezekiel 37:1 “The hand of the Lord was UPON me….. He said the most important word was UPON – God’s hand, mighty hand, anointing. The Isaiah scripture says the same thing – UPON me. Things happen when God’s hand is upon you. In the case of the Ezekiel story the dry bones came ALIVE. How many of you have dry bones – Bones, lives, that have been given over to SIN, idols of SIN, sin of the world. You are as a DRY bone – dead to GOD. The obstacles of the world that caused your death is unbelief, idolatry, prayerlessness, and legalism as summarized by Beth Moore from the Word of God. The dead bones were scattered in the valley, in the world and so is the church’s body today. It seems that most churches have no LIFE, no power. David Hall said the pastors aught to prophecy to the church, LIVE bones!!!!!!

I once asked a pastor, “How does one get out of Egypt?” or How does one get out of slavery to sin. Perhaps we love the mud pin of life so much we can’t recognize Jesus’s hand outstretched to pull us out. We seem to all walk as if we had no freedom in Jesus Christ who shed his blood so we might LIVE. A counselor told me to stop tiptoeing around the white elephant (sin), dry bone, in my living quarters. What white elephant is in your living quarters. Is it one of the sins as summarized by Beth Moore. ARE we so dry that there his not one living cell to sound the trumpet call to the bones – “LIVE”!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is this just happening to you or your church? How many of you go to churches that are literally dieing, becoming dead bones. Are we people who have become dead bones, so scattered in the valley of the earth and so dry that God has no one to be the hand, the foot, the head, mouth, nose, ear, etc. Yes we hear TheDailyLily trumpeting, Beth Moore and David Hall sounding the warnings or do we. Have our ear bones grown dry with no movement to hear what is said. Without a BODY the church can not function. I have yet to see a hand do anything without a body. We need the body of Christ to come together and move as a unit. JESUS needs us to be the LIVE OAKS so that he can work through us as HIS HAND moves UPON a BODY. Calling all dry bones, Come together in the church – LIVE! Give thanks for God’s LIFE and breath in you. Give thanks HE has called you from the dead and has a special place for you in HIS BODY. He wants you to MOVE. Exercise your part of the BODY and move under HIS hand. Stand tall and strong under HIS hand and as the winds blow, stand as a MIGHTY OAK, immoveable from your LOVE of HIM, the Almighty God and extending your limbs out to HIM in appreciation for all the dry bones he has unearthed in you so that you might LIVE!!!!!!!!!!!

What is Hope to you?

What is Hope to you?

by: Tholton
What is HOPE to you? Is it possible to have hope, if we do not have faith, in God?

Quoted from my Bible in Habakkuk (under the megathemes), this is what it says hope means: “Hope means going beyond our unpleasant daily experiences to the joy of knowing God. We live by trusting in him, not by the benefits, happiness, or success we may experience in this life. Our hope comes from God.”

Swearing as a Response to Pain

by: Deborah Chaves

Did you know that swearing can actually be beneficial? Dr. Mary C. Neal, MD, an orthopaedic surgeon and author of “To Heaven and Back” thinks so. After drowning, going to Heaven and coming back, she  breaks her ankle in a skiing accident while out in a remote area where there is no immediate help. Dr. Neal decides the only way out is to hike out and says the two hour trip back was “accompanied by a lifetime’s worth of cursing.” Her account of the cursing is described here: “As an interesting side note, I had recently read a study by Stephens, Atkins and Kingston in which they evaluated swearing as a response to pain (NeuroReport, August 5, 2009; volume 20, issue 12; 1056-60). In the study, two sets of data were collected based on how long volunteers were able to keep their arm submersed in ice water, a known pain stimulator, while either a commonplace word to describe a table or shouting the profanity of their choice. The authors found that volunteers had a significantly greater pain tolerance when using the profanity of their choice. As I hiked the distance to our car, I performed my own personal experiment. I tried yelling words like “snow” and “tree” or yelling different profanities. In the end, I agreed wholeheartedly with the results of Stephens’ study.”
