The Daily Lily has made another loan to Rano Aliyorova of Khujand, Tajikistan. The Daily Lily is fan of the Kiva.org website, and their mission to support small business owners around the world.

Rano Aliyorova was born in 1979. She is married and has 2 children. Rano has a high school education. She sells candy and ice cream in a store. She is taking out a loan to grow her business and increase her product selection.
Christ Church Int’l/The Daily Lily would like to thank all that gave generously of their time and resources to benefit children around the world. We did about 75 boxes on Saturday. Tammy M. and her office participated in this project with us and had already finished 15 fully packed boxes with finances of $7 each to help with shipping. All that know me well will agree with the fact that I love to read. But, not all that know how much I enjoy reading know that I go to the end of the book to see the outcome before I read the book! OOOPs!
“You [God] saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in Your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed” (Psalm 139:16, NLT)
“Be still, and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10)
I find such comfort in this scripture. When I feel overwhelmed or have not the answer, or see confusion knocking on my heart and mind’s door, I see and hear, “Be Still, I am God.”

Alice continues her adventure with the Gryphon and the melancholy Mock Turtle who relives memories of his past by telling stories. (Is this a way to avoid living in the present or thinking about the future?) This time his story is about a seashore dance called the Lobster Quadrille. He asks the Gryphon to help him show Alice the dance. The Mock Turtle does the singing in a slow, rhythmic voice. It is a sort of ballad about jellyfish, lobsters, seals, snails, whiting, porpoise and turtles and their participation in the dance by the seashore. Alice thanks him for the song and is particularly interested in hearing about the whiting. After a detailed explanation, they ask Alice to share her adventures. She begins by telling them what has happened to her since this morning, but manages to get things rather mixed up because her mind is still filled with the Lobster Quadrille. (There may be a lesson here in listening, remembering if your mind is unfocused on the agenda at hand).

We have a dream to touch children of every nationality for Christmas, 2009 through the Samaritan Purse/Operation Christmas Box. It will take many hands to pull this off. We need people to wrap shoeboxes with Christmas Paper. We need people to go out and buy items for girls and boys 2-4 year olds, 5-9 year olds, and 10-14 year olds. Go on line to check the list of things you could buy and tuck in each box, watch the video and be inspired. You can give money directly on the Samaritan Purse site to fund the box project coming from CCI. It takes $7 a box to mail to a child somewhere in the world. What a wonderful thing to touch a child who probably would get nothing at Christmas. Write a note and tuck inside and become a pen pal to someone who is touched by your gift. Become involved. Join us at Christ Church Int’l/thedailyliies in being a small part in this massive outreach by the Samaritan’s Purse.
