Are you stumped?

Lord here I am! Can’t you see me! Look I’m here, can’t you see me? I’m looking at you! Help Lord, I need your help, and NOW!!!!!!!! This is what I heard a student proclaim.

He had apparently read a book but forgot what it said in regard to the question he was faced with this day! Like some of our articles on the dailylily, he had a blank slat. He read well, thought well, and usually had all the answers. Everyone looked to him to have the right answer, but today he was stumped.

He begged for the answer, but no help. I told him to seek advice from another student, but he said the instructions said the answer had to come from your thoughts and that no ones thoughts were like his thoughts.

Do you believe in angels?

Do you believe in angels? I do!

Angels are everywhere all the time, 24/7. Abraham believed in angels, three came to visit him as house guest. Jacob sure believed in angels, he wrested with one all night long. He was touched by an angel. The angel gave Jacob a heavy blow on the thigh and he limped forever after that.
Daniel while having an overnight stay with the lions trembled when he saw the Lord’s angel appear with him. John, on the Isle of Patmos had such a dramatic experience seeing an angel, that he fell down as though he were dead.

The Art of Simplicity

The Art of Simplicity can turn one’s life around for the greater gain.

Love for ‘confused and afraid’
Hope for ‘sad’
Light for ‘darkness’
I have for ‘I have not’
Courage for ‘fear’
‘Simplicity of Life’ to me is like black-strap molasses flavoring and coloring my cookies of choice.

Are We Getting Too Big For Our “Britches

Why do we try to change things we don’t understand so we can understand better? Are we so blinded by our prideful hearts that we can’t humble ourselves? Do we think we are smarter than God? Do we think we will get away with this? Adam and Eve didn’t. They could not hide from God in the Beginning. What makes us think we can hide from God near the end? WHO DO WE THINK WE ARE?

Gift of Intercession

Interceding for others is truly an honor. But for some reason, I became even more aware of this privilege at our weekly church service at Christ Church Int’l. this week. I saw just how much of an honor and privilege it truly is to intercede and pray for others.

I was introduced to prayer, at a very young age by my mother. When I went to my grandmother’s house in Oklahoma at the age of three, she would have me hold her hands between my small hands and pray before she would eat her meals. Without my prayer, she would not eat. At the time she was dying of cancer.
