A Gift of God
God is so loving and kind. He wants all to know that he cares so much for them. As a prayer person, God had me pray for this beautiful teacher who had been trying for years and years to have a baby.
I would lift her name daily every morning to the Lord. The poem below did happen and Donna and I give God all the glory for her family.
While praying and walking a photo is shown.

Pearls Before Breakfast
I recently read an article from the Washington Post by Gene Wingate that stirred a maelstrom within me prompting these thoughts to come forth. The title of the article is PEARLS BEFORE BREAKFAST and tells of an incident that occurred this summer in Washington DC. The situation had been planned and executed as a stunt perhaps, but nonetheless , as a marvelous example and lesson concerning human nature.

LOOK AT MY PIGS!

Wilma, one of our bloggers from Washington State made Piggy and Piglet and mailed to me. What beautiful, interesting, and funny little things.
I am just so amazed how God has given Wilma such an interesting and fun talent. She takes her talent and uses with a ‘God given gift of giving’ and gives to me. She gives as well to many many others.
I knew this was of God when it was a cold rainy day in Virginia and it sure was a good day to be encouraged. What made this even more interesting to me was the fact that another one of our bloggers had emailed me and told me to draw a pig and she would explain later.

Caretaker Pam
I wrote this story for a friend of mine about ten years ago. I hope you can identify with the story in some way. She didn’t recognize the gift that she held in her hands. What a magnificent gift it is. Do you have a gift that you don’t recognize. Read about Pam’s and ask the Lord to reveal yours to you if you know it not.
Caring Pam had quite a problem. She thought she could do nothing quite as well as her friends. She could see all their gifts. Where was hers?
If she could she would have changed into Sara who was a whiz at math. That way she could rattle off the answers left and right. How proud she would be. Instead she questioned the Lord, “Where was I when you were handing out math ability?”

Dance of Life
I bent low to the Lord
When I was but a child
I knew He was near
And I believed
Oh how I loved Jesus
I loved his handiwork as well
The flowers, trees, and me

On Fear
Fear is an enemy that many, many of us would like to rid from our lives. It torments us night and day. It causes us not to be our authentic self. We wish that there were someway to extract it from our lives. If you have never experienced FEAR, count your blessings and be everything you can be.
Fear has often plagued me since I was a little child. I was always afraid to speak up in class. I sat in classroom after classroom year in and year out never volunteering a word unless I was called on. Inside fear robbed me of learning through discussion. I spent so much time fearing being asked that I missed out on the discussion at hand.
When you carry forth the mask of fear, it affects other parts of your life as well. Through all the fear, somehow I got married and had two wonderful sons. Fear seemed to tie me to my home. I did walk and talk to the Lord a lot. One day I stood in my townhouse and I cried out, “Lord Jesus I need some one, a friend to walk and talk with me. Oh Lord, I said, I promise I will go anywhere and do anything for you if you will do this for me.” The Lord heard. Immediately a friend whom I hadn’t heard from in years called and was moving to the same town as I was moving to. Joy of joys she was attractive, encouraging, and motivating. We started walking and praying together on a daily basis.
Quote for the Day
“if what you did yesterday seems big, you haven’t done anything today.” lou holtz
Lou Holtz… NCAA football head coach. Holtz is the only coach in NCAA history to lead six different programs to bowl games and the only coach to guide four different programs to final top 20 rankings. He is also a multiple winner of Coach of the Year honors. After growing up in East Liverpool, Ohio and graduating from East Liverpool High School, Holtz attended Kent State University. He was a member of the Delta Upsilon Fraternity, played football, and graduated in 1959. Over the years, the slender, bespectacled Holtz has become known for his quick wit and ability to inspire players.
Study with Sara-See, hear and speak no evil
“Clothe yourself with the Lord Jesus Christ and make no provision for indulging the flesh. Put a stop to thinking about the evil cravings of your physical nature” (Romans 13:14 AMP).
Today, I had a hard time decided just how to clothe (dress) myself for work. The weather in Northern Virginia seems to be vacillating from hour to hour.
