2010 with a purpose

“Come to me, all of you who are tired and have heavy loads, and I will give you rest. Accept my teachings and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in spirit, and you will find rest for your lives. hustle and bustle

It has been so easy for me to get caught up, in the hustle and bustle, of the Christmas shopping and preparing for Christmas. I have just read in Isaiah 29. Read with me the following verses and the footnotes, for these verses. (13-14) “And so the Lord says, ‘These people say they are mine. They honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. My students will be presenting a patriotic performance of songs and instrumentals and an honoring service for their families, friends and neighbors who have served in the military.
We have rehearsed and practiced our speeches and our songs and we, the teachers, have spoken to our students about what a great opportunity it is for them to be able to honor these brave men and women. My prayer is that this experience will forever instill in their young hearts an attitude of gratitude for the people who serve our nation in uniform, putting themselves in harm’s way for a cause greater than each indiviual but for the greater good, namely the freedom that we and our students enjoy, now.
