I wish I could stay home and paint today.
Make an ordinary piece of wood take on life
I wish I could play in my garden and water and weed
and smell the sweet fragrance of Spring
But I guess I’ll go to my classroom
and polish a few students
and water and watch them grow oh Lord!

Spiritual Temperature
This is the scripture I turned to today. John 12: 23-26 Read with me: “Jesus replied, ‘Now the time has come for the Son of Man to enter into his glory. I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat is planted in the soil and dies, it remains alone. But its death will produce many new kernels– a plentiful harvest of new lives. Those who love their life in this world will lose it. Those who care nothing for their life in this world will keep it for eternity. Think About It
So many times I talk with friends,
Unhappy with their lot.
If they could change just what they are,
They do so, like as not.
Why Do I Do The Things I Do?
Romans 7:18-25 ” And I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. I want to do what is right, but I can’t. I want to do what is good, but I don’t. I don’t want to do what is wrong, but I do it anyway. But if I do what I don’t want to do, I am not really the one doing wrong; it is the sin living in me that does it. I have discovered this principle of life-that when I want to do what is right , I inevitably do what is wrong. I love God’s law with all my heart. But there is another power within me that is at war with my mind. This power makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me. Oh, what a miserable person I am! Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death? Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord. So you see how it is: In my mind I really want to obey God’s law, but because of my sinful nature I am a slave to sin.”

The Daily Lily’s Latest Loan to Kiva
The Daily Lily has made another loan to Rano Aliyorova of Khujand, Tajikistan. The Daily Lily is fan of the Kiva.org website, and their mission to support small business owners around the world.

Rano Aliyorova was born in 1979. She is married and has 2 children. Rano has a high school education. She sells candy and ice cream in a store. She is taking out a loan to grow her business and increase her product selection.

You are God’s Masterpiece
All that know me well will agree with the fact that I love to read. But, not all that know how much I enjoy reading know that I go to the end of the book to see the outcome before I read the book! OOOPs!
“You [God] saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in Your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed” (Psalm 139:16, NLT)
A Scripture of Hope
“Be still, and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10)
I find such comfort in this scripture. When I feel overwhelmed or have not the answer, or see confusion knocking on my heart and mind’s door, I see and hear, “Be Still, I am God.”
