We have something to BE HAPPY ABOUT!

We have a KING to PRAISE!

I Chronicles 16: 23-34 ” Let the whole earth sing to the Lord! Each day proclaim the good news that he saves. Publish his glorious deeds among the
nations. Tell everyone about the amazing things he does. Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise! He is to be feared above all gods. The gods of
other nations are mere idols, but the Lord made the heavens! Honor and majesty surround him; strength and joy fill his dwelling. O nations of the
world, recognize the Lord, recognize that the Lord is glorious and strong. Give to the Lord the glory he deserves! Bring your offering and come into
his presence. Worship the Lord in all his holy splendor. Let all the earth tremble before him. The world stands firm and cannot be shaken. Let the
heavens be glad, and the earth rejoice! Tell all the nations, ‘The Lord reigns!’ Let the sea and everything in it shout his praise! Let the fields
and their crops burst out with joy! Let the trees of the forest rustle with praise, for the Lord is coming to judge the earth.”

Study with Sara-Are you a Star-Walker or Star-Gazer?

“Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn’t do it, sins.” (James 4:17)

This scripture is very interesting to me. First, I am thinking, I would not sin if I did not know the right thing to do? Am I right or wrong on this thinking? But, if I knew to do the right thing or a good thing and did not do it then I have sinned? Right? Wrong?
Does ignorance exempt me from sinning?
Does staying home and minding my own business rather than showing involvement in community, church and nations give me a free ticket from sin?
When my children were very young I started ending my greetings to them, be good, do good and be happy. When I would drop then off for school, I would say be good, do good and be happy. When they were in college I continued to say be good, do good and be happy. I still do. I email them, call them and bless them with these words. I have always felt from my learning that if we were good, did good , we would be happy.

Would you like to hear a Secret

I was very blessed by a scripture that was shared on the radio this morning, and would like to share with you.

Jeremiah 33: 3 “Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come.”

Footnotes ” God assured Jeremiah that he had only to ask God and God would answer (see also Psalm 145: 18, Isaiah 58:18,
Matthew 7:7). God is ready to answer our prayers, but we must ask for his assistance. Surely God could take care of our needs without our asking. But when we ask, we are acknowledging that he alone is God and that we cannot accomplish in our own strength all that is his domain to do. When we ask, we must humble ourselves, lay aside our willfulness and worry, and determine to obey him.”

There is a story from Luke told by a master storyteller that has the possibility of making one’s imagination go into orbit. Read the story of a shrewd manager as told by Jesus in Luke 16:1-8.

Star Wars 21-2

Luke 16: 8 NKJV “And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.”

Luke 16: 8 -9 Message “Now here’s a surprise: The master praised the crooked manager! And why? Because he knew how to look after himself. Streetwise people are smarter in this regard than law-abiding citizens. They are on constant alert, looking for angles, surviving by their wits. I want you to be smart in the same way—but for what is right—using every adversity to stimulate you to creative survival, to concentrate your attention on the bare essentials, so you’ll live, really live, and not complacently just get by on good behavior.”

Study with Sara-On Whom do we Depend?

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
2 Corinthians 5:7

We have heard a lot in the recent years about Co-Dependence. I understand with a thumbnail snapshot that this means ‘one seeks to find their sense of self from someone other that the God image that is within them.’ They look to a person they can see, hear, touch and feel their pain and emotions to find their self worth. When the other person is no longer in there life or have no further need of their support they have no sense of worth.

“Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1
