“You have multiplied, O LORD my God, your wondrous deeds and your thoughts toward us; none can compare with you! I will proclaim and tell of them, yet they are more than can be told.”
(Psalm 40:5, ESV)
The Small Gate
“But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” Matthew 7:14 NIV
While thinking on this verse, I thought of the times when I lived in the Shenandoah Valley, Virginia on
a farm and went to get the cows into the barn. As I drove the cows in across the field there was one
single trail behind me. I immediately knew that the reason the path is narrow is that few people choose to walk on the path at one time and consistently.

How does one get out of Egypt?
How does one get out of Egypt? What does that mean in light of the current events? Does the scriptures in the bible reveal the answers? Does the physical events represent what is happening in the physical world?
I do believe that the physical events (happenings currently) do represent what is happening in the spirit. We see a people fighting for freedom. Let’s take a look back in scripture to see the spiritual links.
EGYPT An altar to the Lord in Egypt.
As Egypt is heavy on our hearts especially at this time of demonstrations for liberty, the prophecy in Isaiah 19 that he gave from the Lord concerning Egypt comes to mind. It is an encouraging chapter about the future of Egypt and its people
I began to think about how God had raised up a great leader among the Egyptians, Moses, who cried out to Pharoah the words given him by the Lord God Almighty, “Let My people go.” Let them go from their bondage and servitude. Let them go from the callous idols and witchcraft practices that were polluting the people of God for hundreds of years.
Now, thousands of years later, Egypt is crying out, “Let our people go!”

Seasons of Life
“For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven”
(Ecclesiastes 3:1, NLT)
Faithfulness brings fruitfulness!
Let’s Talk about Love
Valentine’s Day is waiting for us all to fill the Day with Love! How does one do that? Let’s start with studying the written words of a beloved man, named John!
“Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.”
The Still, Small Voice
Recently I finished a book given to me by Sara to read called “Angels in the ER”. It is a book of true stories from the ER by physician Dr. Robert Leslie, from his perspective when he was an emergency room doctor. One story that I would like to share is from the chapter, “The Still, Small Voice.”

Untie your ropes
I am reading a book Sara loaned me that Needles gave her by John Ortberg, titled “When the Game is Over it All Goes Back in the Box”. The following excerpt is from a chapter called “Untie your ropes” which is about discarding whatever holds us down from running and finishing the race God has for each of us. He says sometimes we would ‘rather complain about our ropes than untie them’. Here is one of his illustrations: “I had a client who complained frequently about how her husband’s drinking made her unhappy. “But you could take action, I suggested.

Keep on….
“Keep on asking and it will be given you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking [reverently] and [the door] will be opened to you”

“CLOAK OF THE LOT”
This is a short fictional story based on the scripture in John 19:23-24 & Psalm. 22:18
It had been a bit of an unusual day for Antony. The life of a Roman soldier rarely takes a docile turn but today was especially hectic. Aside from the usual incarcerations, breaking up of riots and other public disturbances, there had been these three crucifixions.
