Why I don’t like Cheese?

My seven year old son, Luke, wrote this story for school and wanted to share his story with us. Double click on the picture to read Luke’s story. Hope you still like cheese after reading his fantasy story. Or, maybe it’s a mystery! Don’t you just love his art work as well. I am a proud Mom.

Also, today is my son Noah’s Birthday. I am proud of both my sons and wanted to share some joys of their lives with all of you. Thank you for your prayers and support of both of my children.

Artist of the Needle

This story is dedicated to my mother and all those who are artist of the needle. We so enjoy your wonderful talent and applaud you.

Hettie Ruby grew up in the lean years of this country, right after the Great Depression.
When she was little, her mother dressed her in long brown dresses, brown stockings, and a bonnet. She hated her look so much that as soon as she lost sight of home, she’d roll down the stockings and get rid of the bonnet.

She was a child laborer at the age of six. She pulled cotton all day long. She had six other brothers and sisters and they would pick along side of her. Poor Hettie Ruby.

2008 Olympics in China

I heard today that the organizers for the 2008 Olympics in China have released their list of items banned from the Olympic village where the athletes will stay.

Take a guess what item among others has been prohibited: You guessed it right, Bibles!

The Catholic News Agency reports that the committee behind the Beijing games cited “security reasons” for the ban.

Athletes are also prohibited from bearing any kind of religious symbol at Olympic facilities.

A story of:

Many times we think that we are all alone with no hope. I am here to tell you that there is someone named Jesus who is so close that He like the little girl in the following story weeps over you and will care for you when all else around you seems to be crushing in. Call upon His name. JESUS! JESUS! JESUS! I knew of a friend who was so sick and her temperature raged on despite alcohol baths. All she could say was the name of Jesus. He came and touched her and she was healed. He will touch you like the rose in the story too no matter what weeds have come your way.

BLOOD STAIN ON THE CROSS

When I sat down to play and sing for the moving of the Spirit on the nations as I had been directed this song came up in my being immediately and I believe it is of the Holy Spirit as I sing it for each nation called by name before the Lord
There’s a stain on the cross for each nation
it’s the blood price Christ paid for your land
The blood shed is for your salvation
And holes in His feet and His hands.

Christ died for the people of your nation
He was hanged on a tree for you
That you might receive life and salvation
There’s a stain on the cross for you.

A Gift of God

God is so loving and kind. He wants all to know that he cares so much for them. As a prayer person, God had me pray for this beautiful teacher who had been trying for years and years to have a baby.
I would lift her name daily every morning to the Lord. The poem below did happen and Donna and I give God all the glory for her family.

While praying and walking a photo is shown.
A Mom holding a little girl and twin boys in a red wagon pose.

A picture, a picture, but only in the mind’s eye
given by the Lord

Pearls Before Breakfast

I recently read an article from the Washington Post by Gene Wingate that stirred a maelstrom within me prompting these thoughts to come forth. The title of the article is PEARLS BEFORE BREAKFAST and tells of an incident that occurred this summer in Washington DC. The situation had been planned and executed as a stunt perhaps, but nonetheless , as a marvelous example and lesson concerning human nature.
