The Circle of Quiet Memorial Garden Part II

As we continue to plan and organize and follow the leading of The Holy Spirit we are just so touched by the artisans that continue to show God’s Glory in the earth through their hands and deeds. We are so grateful to Mr. Larry, our caretaker that has painted some of our benches that was in much need. Also, just one of the slates that make up family trees painted by Debi.

“A Circle of Quiet Memorial Garden”

How blessed the man you train, God,
the woman you instruct in your Word,
Providing a circle of quiet within the clamor of evil,
while a jail is being built for the wicked.
God will never walk away from his people,
never desert his precious people.
Rest assured that justice is on its way
and every good heart put right.
” Psalm 94: 12:15 MSG

Our meditative Memorial walking Garden, “A Circle of Quiet” is underway. Debi has planted nine new fruit trees and berry bushes as well as painting of stones and many other garden cultures to delight the soul. MG has added some lights, benches and other restful visual joys. Rena has been busy on her wood paintings to add the gospel to be read as one meanders the walkways. Tammy has made a trip to check and make sure the trees were fully watered.

Thanks to ALL for being part of “A Circle of Quiet.” MG saw this scripture (Psalm 94, A Circle of Quiet) in her devotional this week. Tammy found a vase of sunflowers in a hospital waiting room and stopped to photo and share with me the same time Rena was sending her art. There are many other connections of confirmations happening daily. Keep your ears and eyes attuned to the Holy Spirit and His healing as we join our hands and hearts to publish the good news. Isaiah 55:10-12 NIV

My Utmost For His Highest

“Has God’s Word ever come to you, pointing out an area of your life, requiring you to yield it to Him–maybe certain personal qualities, desires, and interests, or possibly relationships of your heart and mind? That is where the battle is truly fought–in the realm of your will before God. What Jesus says is difficult–it is only easy when it is heard by those who have His nature in them. Beware of allowing anything to soften the hard words of Jesus Christ.” –Oswald Chambers, from My Utmost for His Highest

Sharing the sacred in the ordinary

Share your lastest story of a conversation with a prophet?

Finding the sacred in the ordinary is my way of living. Wonderful, joyful blessings as well as pain and suffering spring up in the most unlikely places at times. How often do we miss our blessings when we have the answers in our midst on our phones as we chat? Join me in reflecting on the ordinary and discovering the sacred. Share your discovery and just maybe your experience will be a teacher for another.

“…carve out happiness in the midst of ugliness.”

Recently, I have had this recurring thought, “Sara, listen to your heart. And, carve out happiness in the midst of ugliness.”Whoa, I would awaken with a mind carving tool ready to flow. Words ready to flow in color and style. I would begin my word pictures for healing, peace, joy, and ‘Heaven Comforts’ only to be united with artisans, artist, resources and spirit of unity to create heavenly heart pockets filling up earth spots with beauty that had seemed destined for ugly.

After, hearing my inner voice calling and singing, a few times; “Sara, listen to your heart. And, carve out happiness in the midst of ugliness.” I did a few small beauty spots and God gave the increase. I was totally amazed beyond amazement. Then, I paused and wondered why things were being created in such wonderment after years of struggle. I heard the Word from scripture showing me when I stopped asking and trying in came the rain, raiment and the holy. I hope you ponder these words given by the Apostle Paul around 2,000 years ago that are still mind and spirit ready tools in the hands of an earth artist.

“Now to him who by the power at work within us is able to accomplish abundantly far more than all we can ask or imagine, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21, NRSV

Making a Difference

“Once upon a time, there was a wise man who used to go to the ocean to do his writing. He had a habit of walking on the beach before he began his work.
One day, as he was walking along the shore, he looked down the beach and saw a human figure moving like a dancer. He smiled to himself at the thought of someone who would dance to the day, and so, he walked faster to catch up.
As he got closer, he noticed that the figure was that of a young man, and that what he was doing was not dancing at all. The young man was reaching down to the shore, picking up small objects, and throwing them into the ocean.
He came closer still and called out “Good morning! May I ask what it is that you are doing?”
The young man paused, looked up, and replied “Throwing starfish into the ocean.”
“I must ask, then, why are you throwing starfish into the ocean?” asked the somewhat startled wise man.
To this, the young man replied, “The sun is up and the tide is going out. If I don’t throw them in, they’ll die.”
Upon hearing this, the wise man commented, “But, young man, do you not realize that there are miles and miles of beach and there are starfish all along every mile? You can’t possibly make a difference!”
At this, the young man bent down, picked up yet another starfish, and threw it into the ocean. As it met the water, he said,
“It made a difference for that one.”
