Together, As One

“If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14 ASV

Are we seeing?

“I don’t know whether he is a sinner,” the man replied. “But I know this: I was blind, and now I can see!” (John 9:25).

Jesus healed a blind man and the religious crowd got all upset. They started arguing over why he was healed, and how he was healed, and who was to blame for him being blind in the first place. The man said, “I can’t answer all of your questions. but I can tell you this; I was blind, but now I see.”

When I speak with the ‘religious crowd’ today about this past Presidential Election I feel just this way. “I can’t answer all your questions, but I can tell you this, I was blind, but now I can see.” I wrote a song some time ago that has a lot of meaning to me, “WaitingRoom” and the chorus says, “as I wait, I see His Face shining as a Glory of Grace.” Another part “I can see, I can see, in the world as I go for His Light has broken forth in my soul!” Can you see and hear today what the Spirit is saying?

Pause to Think

Some points we might want to remember with the coming election.
– God raises up one and puts down another.
– The heart of the king is in the hand of the Lord, He bends it however he wills.
– Pray for those in authority over you.

May be we need to remember that the president or leader of any country is a man or a woman, a human being. They are given position by God and are under his authority. And we may need to remember that a nation receives the leader they deserve.

Who do you say that I Am

Matthew 16:13 “When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?” Do I know who He is? Do you?
I have great respect for Our Nation, The USA, and its electoral voting system regardless of human error and deception by and of evil. I respect all peoples be it Democrat-Obama-Biden or Republican-McCain-Palin, race, gender and/or age I plan to vote and of course would like to see my choice between the two win, But, without a doubt, I will honor ‘Our President’, be it President McCain or President Obama. I will be proud of and honor our nation. I will salute our flag with honor and sing “America The Beautiful.”
Yet, my total focus is and will be on the One that everybody ought to know. All Nations, all peoples, all races, young and old, should know Him, I think. Now who is He? Will He get your vote?

Torn at the Seams

I have heard often in the last year(s) that our nation, America, is “Torn at the Seams.” Do we have answers? I believe we do!

Saturday, September 27, 08, First Lady, Laura Bush with The Library of Congress will be hosting a “Book Festival” on The Mall, Washington, DC.

This will be an intergenerational event. Writers of children’s books, mystery writers, biographers as well as many other authors will be on ‘The Mall’ reading and modeling the joy and life of reading. Mrs. Bush invites us all to come. She says, “there will be something for all ages and all interest. Come and bring your families.”

Election Debate

http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/archives/individual/2008_09/014545.php

As we count down the days to the next Presidential Election for those of us in the USA,I thought it would be great to have an open honest debate about our candidates. I have chosen (link about) a news article from Sarah Palin’s speech last night to use as our forum and platform for our discussions.

I love the fact that we live in a nation that allows and gives us the freedom to make a choice and to be a vital part of electing our leaders.
